What a great way to learn about our grade 7 science unit, Structures and Forces.

A new year invites renewed purpose. In January, we turn to Rights and Responsibilities—a Catholic Social Teaching that affirms both our shared freedoms and our obligation to use them in service of the common good.
In our schools, this comes to life through respect, accountability, and choosing to care for one another each day.

❄️ Winter Weather & LCSD School Days ❄️
As winter weather sets in, we want families to feel informed and supported when conditions change. Our Transportation Department monitors road conditions, visibility, extreme cold, and weather warnings early each morning, with conditions assessed daily at 6:00 a.m.
On winter weather days, bus cancellations may occur, while schools remain open, and learning continues for students who can attend safely.
When morning bus cancellations occur, an afternoon transportation update will be provided if conditions are expected to change. In cases of severe or sustained extreme cold, bus cancellations may remain in place for the full day.
Timely updates are shared through the Bus Status App and social media channels.

Paola and Oksana from Action for Healthy Communities, together with Ms. Sherry, spent a wonderful afternoon at Light of Christ School creating Advent wreaths and Christmas trees with our EAL students!
As we prepared our hearts for the Advent season, students were invited to write something they are thankful for on the back of each horizontal piece of their Christmas tree. It was a meaningful way to reflect on God’s blessings and embrace the spirit of gratitude that leads us toward Christmas.
What a joyful day of creativity, community, and faith!
